He was co-author of the first medical textbook in English on homosexuality in 1897, and also published works on a variety of sexual practices and inclinations, as well as transgender psychology. He is credited with introducing the notions of narcissism and autoeroticism, later adopted by psychoanalysis. Ellis was among the pioneering investigators of psychedelic drugs and the author of one of the first written reports to the public about an experience with mescaline, which he conducted on himself in 1896. Like many intellectuals of his era, he supported eugenics and he served as president of the Eugenics Society. His monumental seven volume “Studies in the Psychology of Sex (1897- 1928) changed the Western attitude to sex in the late Victorian age. In November 1891, at the age of 32, and reportedly still a virgin, Ellis married the English writer and proponent of women’s rightsEdith Lees (1861-1916). From the beginning, their marriage was unconventional, as Edith Lees was openly lesbian. At the end of the honeymoon, Ellis went back to his bachelor rooms in Paddington. She lived at Fellowship House. Their “open marriage” was the central subject in Ellis’s autobiography, My Life.

In 1993, the writer To Hoal confirmed that Xuan Dieu was reprimanded while in Viet Minh for molesting other men in bed. But in the December 5, 2000 issue of The Advocate, Smith confided in Editor in Chief, Judy Wieder, that it isn’t her nature to be a role model in the LGBT movement. However she admitted: “I think that my relationships with women were always much more emotionally satisfying and comfortable [than with men]. And a lot of my relationships with men were more flirtatious and adversarial. I just never felt I was wife material. I always felt that I was a great girlfriend.” She raised millions of dollars for charities. She had a long-term relationship with archaeologist Iris Love.

1988, UK – Three women protest the potential Clause 28 by swinging on ropes off the public gallery into the chamber of the House of Lords. Their shouts of “Lesbians are angry!” and “It’s our lives you’re dealing with” distill the current mood of British lesbian and gay activists, galvanized as never before in opposition to the bill. Clause 28 was enacted on 24 May 1988, and stated that a local authority “shall not intentionally promote homosexuality or publish material with the intention of promoting homosexuality” or “promote the teaching in any maintained school of the acceptability of homosexuality as a pretended family relationship”. It was repealed on 21 June 2000 in Scotland by the Ethical Standards in Public Life etc. (Scotland) Act 2000, one of the first pieces of legislation enacted by the new Scottish Parliament, and on 18 November 2003 in the rest of the United Kingdom by section 122 of the Local Government Act 2003. The law’s existence caused many groups to close or limit their activities or self-censor. For example, a number of lesbian, gay and bisexual student support groups in schools and colleges across Britain were closed owing to fears by council legal staff that they could breach the act.

the history of nonheterosexuals and different historical eras views are such that there is a there is a danger to apply current decadish of time, in 2021 to past decades and centuries; particularly without application of complete history.

There is a difference between adopting male attire in the era when clothing was spelled out in law, and lesbians who passed in public, differ from those who only change clothing for personal sexual gratification, in private “cross dressors” in the language of this same era.

Laws regarding clothing exist in many nations, including capitol punishment, this is why sexual orientation is a demographic, That heterosexual women continue to be denied reproductive rights, education and professions, even where won at court; that women are a demographic. That male and female persons who are ethnically different from the majority population and with differing experiences being merged into colour blind visible minorities are differing demographics.

the farther back in time the given individual is, and why on this blog, there is a under theme of Elvis Presley, as the most prominent modern era person of the 1900s Current Era; who was photographed almost every day of his adult life., and who’s number of days on this planet have resulted in his being one of the most recognizable individuals across all cultures on the planet, which in 1950s was 1 billion people, and by his death almost 4 billion, to the 8 billion currently existing on earth.

Funny how religions welcome rapists, murderers and pedophiles – but can not cope with law abiding LGBTQ2 who seek to form adult couples:

“It’s a case study in how a church can or cannot navigate questions of identity, questions that are tense, matters of conflict,” said Matthew van Maastricht, pastor at Altamont Reformed Church in Altamont, New York. “We are just one part of a greater reshaping of the broader American Protestant landscape.”

According to the Rev. Dan Griswold, clerk of the RCA’s Holland Classis, the RCA debates involve specific questions: Can an RCA church host a wedding between a same-sex couple, and can an RCA minister officiate such a wedding? Can noncelibate gay people be elected as elders and deacons and ordained as ministers? While these questions are often framed as political, they are also theological.

The LP “Cheap Thrills” by Big Brother And The Holding Company hit #1 on the Billboard album chart for the first of eight non-consecutive weeks. It would prove to be the most successful LP of the year, selling over a million copies. The cover, drawn by underground cartoonist Robert Crumb, replaced the band’s original idea, a picture of the group naked in bed together. Crumb had originally intended his art to be the LP’s back cover, but Joplin demanded that Columbia Records use it for the front cover. Initially the album title was to have been Sex, Dope and Cheap Thrills, but this didn’t go down too well at Columbia Records.  On March 22, 2013, the album was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” by the US Library of Congress and was preserved into the National Recording Registry.

1884 – Eleanor Roosevelt (October 11, 1884 – November 7, 1962) is born. Famed for her work as a human rights activist and for her outspokenness as first lady, Roosevelt was also bisexual. She had long-term relationships with her husband, Franklin, and her dear friend, Lorena Hickock (March 7, 1893 – May 1, 1968). Roosevelt cared deeply about humanity. She once wrote, of the need to save the Jewish people of Europe, “We will be the sufferers if we let great wrongs occur without exerting ourselves to correct them.” She worked to pass anti-lynching legislation. She wrote a column urging congress not to further abrogate the sovereignty of American Indians. She resigned from the DAR when they refused to let opera star Marian Anderson sing in their hall (because Anderson was African-American) and she arranged instead for her to sing at the Lincoln Memorial. She publicly opposed Apartheid long before world sentiment was united about it. She served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. She was one of the most admired women in America in her day. Biographer Blanche Weisen has said that Roosevelt’s bisexuality and her relationship with Lorena Hickock were powerful influences on the human rights work she was so admired for.
